5KSC is the North Western Yacht Division of the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA).

We are based in Liverpool and offer low cost sailing opportunities to all public sector staff and their family and friends.

Join Us

Join to benefit from the reduced rates the CSSA offers. Club membership is open to all public sector employees and also to their family and friends through linked membership.

Sail With Us

You do not need to be a member of either 5 Kingdoms or the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA) to start sailing with us and we encourage everyone. We also offer Taster Sails

Train With Us

We are a recognised RYA training centre and have RYA approved instructors who can offer competent crew, day skipper and coastal skipper courses.

Membership Fee for 2026/7

The 5KSC committee agreed that we should charge a nominal membership fee from November 2026. This is because the club needs to join the RYA as a national governing body and its membership fees are determined either by the level of club membership fee or turnover (which would make joining very expensive for 5KSC).
